Vintners to discuss reopening pubs with Government

Vintners, the organisation which represents pubs in Ireland, said it will accept the Government's invitation to discuss a roadmap towards reopening pubs as soon as possible.

In a joint statement, The Licensed Vintners' Association (LVA) and the Vintners' Federation of Ireland (VFI) said they will press for pubs to reopen at the same time as cafés and restaurants during discussions.

The two organisations said they will remain fully committed to doing what is necessary to protect the health and safety of all staff and customers.

It will put forward changes to the normal operations of bars in order to protect public health which include: Bars will become dispense bars only with no sitting, standing, ordering, payment or drinking at the bar
