PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man is fighting for his life after police say he was caught in a barrage of gunfire as he was coming home from work. The shooting happened just after 12:30 a.m. Friday on the 1800 block of North Marston Street in North Philadelphia. Officers responded to reports of a shooting and found a 24-year-old man inside a home and laying on the floor with gunshot wounds to his chest, arms, legs, torso, and back. Responding officers rushed the victim to Temple University Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. MORE HEADLINES: Philadelphia police say over 35 shots were fired from at least two different guns. The victim’s home was struck at least 15 times by gunfire, according to police.

LOWER MERION, Pa. - A Pennsylvania high school teacher is facing charges after investigators say he posed as a teenage girl on a social media app to solicit naked pictures from young girls. Jeremy Schobel, 32, was arrested Wednesday when federal authorities acting on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children searched his home in Philadelphia. A criminal complaint alleges that Schobel, an English teacher at Harriton High School in Lower Merion, posed as a 17-year-old girl on a social media app called Yubo. Schobel, according to a court documents, was allegedly using the app to find a girl-to-girl relationship and redirecting conversations to Snapchat where he would ask for explicit images. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESYubo closed two accounts that investigators said were linked to Schobel and contacted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a user "grooming minors" online. Authorities say after being arrest Schobel admitted to creating both fake profiles and posing as an underage girl to solicit explicit images of teenage girls. He also admitted to communicating with girls between 16-years-old and 18-years-old for years prior to his recent arrest, according to a criminal complaint. In a letter to families, the Lower Merion School District said they are not aware of any inappropriate interactions between Schobel and students.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK - A herd of bison was captured on camera escorting several calves across a road in Yellowstone National Park.The herd crossed US-212 inside the park in Wyoming in late May, according to Toby Tollefsen, who recorded video of the moment. The video shows cars pulled to the side of the road as dozens of bison pass by and make their way up a hill.RELATED: Watch: Adorable red wolf pups learn to howl from parentsYellowstone, which is home to the largest concentration of mammals in the lower 48 states, has somewhere between 2,500 to 5,500 bison within the park, according to National Park Service officials. Yellowstone is also the only place in the U.S. where bison have lived continuously since prehistoric times.The reddish-brown calves are born in late April and May, after a gestation period of 9 to 9.5 months, NPS says. The herd crossed US-212 inside the park in Wyoming in late May 2023, according to Toby Tollefsen, who recorded video of the moment.

WICHITA, Kansas - John Mounce of Wichita, Kansas, was hoping for a big catch when he went fishing over the Memorial Day weekend, and the water did not disappoint. While using sonar equipment to find the best spot to cast his reel at Cheney Lake, he found a Jeep buried underwater. Turned out the Jeep was stolen and is now a part of a criminal investigation. RELATED: Scantily clad 'witches' caught munching on deer carcass in bizarre security cam footage"I was scanning around looking for structure to fish for crappie and something showed up on my side view," he told FOX Television Stations. SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The family of a man who died after trying to save his son from strong currents at a Santa Cruz beach, is preparing to lay him to rest.Loved ones will honor the life of Srinivasa Murthy Jonnalagadda Wednesday at the Chapel of Angles funeral home in Fremont, according to a verified GoFundMe page.Tragedy struck on Memorial Day when Jonnalagadda took his family, including his 13-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter, to Panther Beach in Santa Cruz.Jonnalagadda's son was in the water, when a large tide knocked the boy over, followed by subsequent waves that pulled him further into the ocean, the family wrote on the GoFundMe."Srinivasa suddenly realized that his son was struggling to get out of the water," the family said. "Despite not knowing how to swim, he ran into the waters to help his son out to safety."Srinivasa Murthy Jonnalagadda died after he tried to rescue his son from the water at Santa Cruz's Panther Beach on Memorial Day.A good Samaritan also went into the water to help, and was able to rescue the boy."He (Jonnalagadda) however was unfortunately dragged by the riptide into deeper waters and horrifically drowned as his family helplessly bore witness," loved ones wrote.First responders were able to pull Jonnalagadda from the water and on to the shore.
