A 99-year-old army veteran has raised more than £12million for the National Health Service after walking 100 laps of his garden.
Captain Tom Moore, who lives with his family in Bedfordshire, wanted to complete 100 laps before his 100th birthday later this month.
Tom completed his challenge earlier today just hours after passing the £12m fundraising mark overnight. After reaching his target, completed with a 25-metre guard of honour from the 1st Battalion of the Yorkshire Regiment, Tom said he felt "fine" and that he was glad to be "surrounded by the right sort of people".
