LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Weather surveyors are investigating whether a rare winter tornado touched down in New Jersey and left behind a trail of destruction that left some people displaced.

The National Weather Service on Tuesday afternoon issued a brief Tornado Warning for parts of Mercer County that included towns surround the capitol city of Trenton.

Strong winds downed trees and power lines and tore siding from homes. SkyFOX flew over a condo complex in Lawrence Township where a chunk of the building was ripped away. "I am not sure what is happening here in New Jersey, but too many tornadoes warning for me," Dawn Muziani, a resident said.

Dozens of residents at the Lawrence Square Condo Complex, located less than 10 miles north of Trenton, were displaced Tuesday nightThe weather service will send surveyors to areas in Lawrenceville, West Windsor and Princeton Junction to investigate a possible tornado strike.

KING OF PRUSSIA - Police are searching for two people who they say dined and dashed at a King of Prussia café and hit one of the café employees with their car while fleeing. On Sunday, just before 2 p.m., the Upper Merion Township police responded to the Gateway Café on Flint Hill Road in King of Prussia for a reported vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.Upon arrival, officers say they located an employee of the café suffering from minor injuries. After speaking with the employee and witnesses on scene, responding officers quickly determined that a man and woman with two young children were attempting to flee the café parking lot after failing to pay for their meal. Authorities say as the suspects tried to flee the parking lot, the employee jumped onto the hood of the suspect's car in an attempt to thwart their escape. The employee was thrown from the hood of the car and officials say the suspects fled. ORLANDO, Fla. - A newly released arrest affidavit details the moments that suspected Pine Hills shooter Keith Moses shot five people last week, including an Orlando journalist and a 9-year-old girl who later died.According to the report, Orange County deputies responded to the area of Hialeah Street and found 38-year-old Nathaca Augustin laying outside the front passenger door of a car after being shot. This is another milestone for the National Health Authority (NHA) under its flagship scheme Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) in building a digitally connected healthcare ecosystem. “These records can be easily accessed and managed by the individuals using any of the ABDM-enabled health apps. The digitally available health records will enable the ABHA holders in availing paper-less health services across the ABDM network," the ministry added. Individuals can use their Personal Health Records (PHR) apps to access their records across different health facilities like hospitals, clinics, diagnostic labs etc.

Study: Zero-calorie sweetener associated with high risk of heart failure, stroke and death

LOS ANGELES - A new study published on Monday found that the sugar replacement called erythritol which is used to sweeten stevia, monkfruit has links to blood clotting, stroke, heart attack and death. According to the study published in the journal Nature Medicine, people with existing risk factors for heart disease are twice as likely to experience heart failure when having high levels of erythritol in their system. Researchers also noted that erythritol appeared to cause blood clots more readily in animal testing. Patients with metabolic diseases, including type 2 diabetes and obesity, are frequently advised that the use of artificial sweeteners in place of sugar can improve glycemic control and help achieve weight loss. However, there is growing epidemiological evidence linking the consumption of artificial sweeteners to adverse cardiometabolic phenotypes, such as weight gain9, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease (CVD), including atherothrombotic complications12 and cardiovascular mortality," study authors wrote.
