If you've suddenly lost your sense of smell and taste, chances are you've contracted coronavirus. In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, the main symptoms were flagged as a persistent cough, a high temperature and fever, and occasionally difficulty in breathing.
But as the coronavirus spreads around the globe, medical professionals and patients are finding a string of new symptoms that indicate the disease doesn't affect everyone in the same way.
With the UK on lockdown, most people are staying at home and practising self-distancing on the few occasions they go out - to fetch food, medical supplies, to go to work or to provide care for a vulnerable person.
