A man has begged doctors not to "write off" vulnerable patients who contract coronavirus as he fears being "sacrificed" as ventilators begin to run out.
Dr Jon Hastie, 39, is living with advanced Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a muscle-wasting illness with which he was diagnosed at three.
He has a PhD, works part-time and lives with his husband but fears he will die if he contracts coronavirus. It comes as the British Medical Association has released guidance preparing doctors to make "brutal" decisions and prioritise treatment for those most likely to recover.
