A Wuhan-based scientist studying diseases in wild bats found a whole "universe" of coronaviruses in 15,000 samples, with some potentially having the ability to "jump" to humans.
The bombshell research by Shi Zhengli, said to help find a treatment for Covid-19, was discussed on the Big Picture Science podcast by scientist and writer Meredith Wadman who has been following the case.
