Beijing: China's coronavirus city Wuhan has announced plans to resume 100 passenger trains from April 8 even as the city officials on Friday asked its residents to stay at home and avoid non-essential outings amid fears of a possible rebound of the disease due to the steady rise in the asymptomatic cases.
Wuhan will resume operation of nearly 100 passenger trains starting April 8, state-run Xinhua news agency quoted local railway officials on Friday.
China has already announced plans to resume air services from Wuhan from April 8. Trains have started arriving in 17 stations in Wuhan since March 28 and outbound trains will start to resume services on April 8, the officials said.
