The Department of Health has said that 37 more people have died after being diagnosed with Covid-19. It brings the total number of deaths here to 1,375.
Of those who have died, 550 were in a hospital environment (40%), 66 were in ICU (4.8%). 1176 or 85.5% had an underlying health condition.
A further 265 cases of the virus have also been diagnosed, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 22,248. Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan said there have been a total of 373 people admitted to ICU, 86 patients are currently in intensive care and there were two new admissions to ICU up to 11am.
The median age of all confirmed cases is 49. So far, 2,878 people have been hospitalised with the virus. As of Monday night, he said there were 5,370
