Tennis courts, sports areas, BMX and skate parks 'across Manchester' are re-opening, Manchester City Council has announced today.
But residents in the council's jurisdiction are still being urged to stay close to home and keep using their local parks, avoiding the use of public transport.
Play areas, cafes and toilets remain shut as lockdown measures continue. Residents should visit the borough's parks 'responsibly', says the council, only going on their own or with members of their household.
The council has reminded people of the government guidance about meeting with members of other households - telling Manchester residents that they can meet with one person from a different household but they must stay two metres apart.
