Strictly's Amy Dowden has revealed that she was rushed back into hospital last week, amid her breast cancer battle.The 33 year old, who revealed last year that she had been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, took to her Instagram stories on Monday, 19 February, to share a number of snaps of herself in a hospital bed, using breathing apparatus.

Amy said: "So last week didn't exactly go to plan! "Feeling much better now and still taking it easy. But can't thank the nhs and the care I received on the respiratory unit enough!" In another snap, posted to her Instagram stories, Amy could be seen in her oxygen mask, putting a thumbs up to the camera, whilst her twin sister, Becky, could be seen smiling in the background.

She added: "Also to my family and Ben of course. Always dropping everything and spending endless hours next to my bed while I mainly slept." Sharing another snap with an oxygen mask on, she said: "Feeling much better and thanks for the many messages after going quiet! "Off to oncology unit today for my monthly injection (missed it last week with being poorly)." She ended that on a positive note, as she asked her followers how they are, adding: "The sun is shining and I certainly can't wait for spring." In the same post, Amy also pointed out her hair growing back, after she lost it during chemotherapy, writing: "Look at that hair growth," with a prayer emoji.

Prior to her hospital visit, Amy treated herself and husband Ben Jones to a relaxing spa day after feeling "really rough" recently.
