Emergency services were seen swarming Salford Quays on Tuesday afternoon (February 27) after a person was hit by a tram. Fire crews, police and paramedics were seen attending the incident along The Quays, near to the Media City tram stop.
It followed reports a person had been struck at around 5.30pm. The person, who police say sustained minor injuries, was then transferred to the care of paramedics.

Trams were temporarily stopped as emergency services responded. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just before 5.30pm this evening (Tuesday 27th February), one fire engine from Salford Central fire station was called to reports of person being hit by a tram at The Quays, Salford. “The crew arrived quickly at the scene.
