Around 5,000 people so far have received their first vaccination at walk-in clinics around the country this weekend. In a social media post, HSE Chief Executive Paul Reid said that 89% of the adult population are now partially vaccinated.
He added that 77% are fully vaccinated. "We're getting there," Mr Reid said. After significant attendance last weekend, the Walk-in coronavirus vaccination centres remain open around the country again today.
Yesterday, Mr Reid said that these centres - as well as Covid test centres - will "play a key role this weekend". Mr Reid tweeted that we are "at a key juncture to path our way out of Covid-19".
