PHILADELPHIA - A young man was leaving his home when two suspects being sought by police opened fire on his car in new video of the deadly May shooting.Both suspects are seen emerging from a nearby car as the victim pulls out of a driveway on the 100 block of South 28th Street on the morning of May 5.The victim speeds up in what appears to be an attempted escape, before the suspects fire several shots into the car, killing the 24-year-old.MORE HEADLINES:Police say the suspects fled in a stolen red 2017 Hyundai Sonata with New Jersey license plates and dark tinted windows, which has since been recovered.A $20,000 reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of both suspects, who police describe as "armed and dangerous."

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man will spend between 26 and 52 years behind bars for a murder inside the Philadelphia Mills Mall in 2021.A jury convicted 23-year-old Gregory Smith of shooting and killing 21-year-old Dominic Billa and the attempted murder of another man on March 29,, 2021.At the time of the murder, prosecutors say Smith was on bail awaiting trial on several cases in Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery counties, including drug, weapons and theft charges.RELATED COVERAGE:During the trial, it was said Smith was at the mall on March 29th. MOSCOW, Idaho - A judge overseeing the case against Bryan Kohberger, charged with killing four University of Idaho students last fall, is set to hear arguments Friday over a gag order that largely bars attorneys and other parties in the case from speaking with news reporters.A coalition of more than 30 media organizations has challenged the order, saying it violates the Constitution’s guarantees of free speech and a free press, as has a lawyer for one of the victim's families. But prosecutors and the defendant's lawyers insist it's needed to prevent prejudicial news coverage that could damage Kohberger's right to a fair trial."It remains appropriate to have an Order reminding lawyers and their agents of the rules of engagement in this country and that we try cases in court, not in the press," one of Kohberger's attorneys, Jay Weston Logsdon, wrote in a memo to the court this week.Kohberger, 28, is charged with four counts of first-degree murder and burglary in connection with the stabbing deaths in Moscow, Idaho, on Nov.

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - A mother and her boyfriend have been charged with abusing a 6-year-old child who was hospitalized from the severe beatings, according to Clayton County Police.Officials say the little boy is in critical condition, suffering from broken bones, blood clots in his lung and bleeding on the brain. At one point, they believe he fell unconscious.FOX 5 Atlanta was the only crew present as officers took the mother, Porshe Wells, into custody.Clayton County police say Wells' boyfriend, Napoleon Ates, accused the 6-year-old of stealing money over the weekend.

PHILADELPHIA - Police in Bucks County are warning about a phone scam where they say the caller poses as a police officer. Bensalem Township police say a teenage employee at a local business on Bensalem Boulevard received a call from someone claiming to be a police lieutenant. The caller told the employee that counterfeit money had been used at the business and that the business would have to pay a fine.The caller then told the teen that she had to take money out of the register and go to the ATM to take out more money for the bogus fine.MORE HEADLINES: Police say the teen drove to a nearby ATM in an attempt to withdraw money. The teen’s father was able to locate her before any money was transferred.Bensalem Township police say the teen was never in the company of the unknown caller and that she was driving alone when her father was able to catch up to her.

PHILADELPHIA - An attempted robbery at a variety store in Philadelphia’s Olney section required the help of a bomb squad early Wednesday morning.An employee told police that three men entered the store on the 4700 block of North 5th Street with what appeared to be a stick of dynamite.It was actually an illegal improvised explosive device, which the suspects placed inside the money slot of an ATM inside the store, according to authorities.After attempting the light the fuse, which did not burn, police say the suspects fled the store and never returned. MORE HEADLINES:The store and surrounding area was evacuated by police as a bomb squad removed the device from the ATM, and put it in a safe container to transport back to headquarters.The explosive device was found to be a six-inches long, and one inch in diameter with a three-inch fuze."It will do damage to an ATM and it will cause very, very severe injuries to someone that's holding it or standing near it," said Chief Small. "So this is a very, very dangerous device."Small went on to say they were "very, very lucky" that the device did not explode.

Parole Board of Canada granted Michael White full parole in late May.“Given your assessed low risk, employment stability and your demonstrated abilities to live a law-abiding lifestyle the board does not find that your risk would be undue on an expanded form of conditional release,” the board said in a written decision.“Therefore, full parole is granted.”White was convicted in 2006 of second-degree murder and offering an indignity to a dead body in the death of his wife.Liana White was four months pregnant with the couple’s second child when she was fatally stabbed in July 2005.She was reported missing after her SUV was discovered in a park near the White home in northwest Edmonton.In the days that followed, White held a high-profile news conference outside the family’s home on Warwick Crescent in the Dunluce neighbourhood and organized searches for her body.It was during one of those searches that White and Liana’s mother found her badly decomposed body in a ditch near St. Albert.The parole board noted that Michael White had disposed of his wife’s body and “cleaned up” evidence from his crime.During his trial, police tesified officers who had been following White saw him retrieve two garbage bags from an area on the city’s outskirts two days after his wife’s disappearance; he later putting them out for garbage pickup.Investigators instead collected the bags and found they contained clothing, paper towels and latex gloves that had Liana White’s blood on them, as well as a broken lamp and other items.

Yellowstone National Park seem to be having difficulty keeping wildlife wild.In yet another instance of a parkgoer getting too friendly with an animal, an unidentified guest to the Wyoming park touched an elk calf and loaded it into their personal vehicle.The National Park Service included the incident — which occurred during Memorial Day weekend, the last weekend in May — in a press release urging tourists to keep their distance from Yellowstone’s wild animals.The authority said the elk calf was placed in a car and driven on U.S. Highway 191 in the park.

Raquan Folk (Monmouth County Prosecutors Office)  ASBURY PARK, N.J. - A New Jersey man has been charged with luring and kidnapping an 11-year-old girl off the street in a popular beach town last week. The incident occurred back on Tuesday, May 30 around 5:30 p.m.The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s office says an 11-year-old girl was walking along Ridge Avenue in Asbury Park when she was approached by a man in a white Kia. Authorities say the man, later identified as 29-year-old Raquan Folk, convinced the girl to get inside the car. MORE HEADLINES:Folk then allegedly drove to neighboring Neptune Township, stopped the car, and told the girl to take off her clothes.

PHILADELPHIA - A gun found inside a preparatory school has prompted a lockdown in Philadelphia's Frankford section Tuesday morning.The First Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School on the 4300 block of Talcony Street is currently under lockdown.Police say a parent got a call from her daughter about a student with a gun inside the school.A gun was recovered in a student's backpack, then the school was placed on lockdown, according to authorities.Police have yet to release further details about the student or recovery of the gun.This is a developing story.

DELAWARE COUNY - SWAT, and other emergency crews, were on the scene of barricade situation in Upper Darby that caused several residents to be evacuated from their homes Saturday morning.The incident began around 1:30 a.m. at an apartment on Providence Road in Delaware County, and the building was evacuated a short time later.Police have yet to release details about what led to the barricade, but say the situation has been placed under control with a suspect in custody.This is a developing story.

OCEAN COUNTY, N.J. - Sharks may be the thing of nightmares, but jellyfish encounters are all too common for the Jersey beachgoer - and now they'll have to watch out for a "clingy" species.Clinging jellyfish are mostly transparent with a single reddish-orange cross and 60–80 tentacles that can produce a "very potent" and severely painful sting, according to New Jersey officials. The invasive, and potentially harmful, jellyfish were found in Barnegat Bay in Ocean County last month by a Montclair State University professor. "Just a heads-up folks. I picked up a couple of clinging jellyfish in the northern part of Barnegat Bay this weekend," Paul Bologna warned in a Facebook post.

NEWARK, Del. - An argument escalated into a road rage shooting that left one man injured in New Castle County, according to Delaware State Police.A 52-year-old man was struck by gunfire after an encounter with an "erratic" driver at a red light on Sunset Lake Road in Newark Friday night.Police say both men were arguing when one driver pulled a gun and fired several shots, hitting the other driver in the hand.

PHILADELPHIA - Terrifying scenes unfolded outside a Philadelphia emergency room as hospital staff and patients stood just feet away from a dangerous shooting.Philadelphia police say four suspects fired over 50 shots at three victims standing outside the Temple University Hospital ER last week.Video released by police show the suspects pull up, quickly exit their vehicle, open fire, then flee the scene.MORE HEADLINES: Semi-automatic handguns were used by all four suspects, according to authorities, who say more than 50 pieces of ballistic evidence were collected at the scene.All three victims, ages 18, 22 and 25, were said to be in stable condition. Their injuries are unknown at this time.The suspected vehicle is described as being a black 2008-14 Dodge Charger with tinted windows and chrome trim.

MAURICE RIVER, N.J. - A search for a man for attempting to abduct a young boy from a local Wawa has come to a close, according to New Jersey State Police. Authorities say the unidentified man tried to abduct a 7-year-old boy from the bathroom of the Wawa on Highway 47 in Maurice River on Sunday. According to police, the suspect offered the boy candy to leave with him. PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating a shooting on a Kensington street, where police say a teenage shooting victim was found. According to authorities, just after 10 p.m. on Thursday, police were dispatched to the 800 block of E Allegheny Avenue for a report of gunshots. Officials say responding officers found a 15-year-old girl lying on G Street with a gunshot wound to both thighs. She was transported to Temple University Hospital, where she is in critical condition, but expected to survive, police say. Chief Inspector Scott Small says about 15 minutes later, police heard gunshots as they were investigating the scene. Officers ran in the direction and found a 25-year-old man firing shots, police say. MORE LOCAL HEADLINES According to Small, officers were able to get him to lay down and hand over his weapon. Police say he was also shot in both legs and taken to Temple University Hospital, where he is in stable condition. Officials say investigators believe he was the one who was firing shots on the 800 block of E Allegheny, where the teenage girl was struck. The man was also taken into custody, police say. According to investigators, 14 spent shell casings were found at the scene. Police say cars on E Allegheny Avenue were also struck by gunfire. This is a developing story.

David Cupery 29, of Millsboro has been charged with offensive touching and disorderly conduct after a fight broke out at a Delaware high school graduation.  GEORGETOWN, Del. - A graduation for a Delaware high school ended in turmoil on Tuesday night after state troopers say a large fight broke out. According to officials, troopers working the Sussex Central High School graduation responded to a large crowd of people fighting outside the main gate to the ceremonies. Responding troopers saw a 48-year-old Millsboro woman being kicked and punched by a 16-year-old girl and a 29-year-old Millsboro man punching people, including the same teenage girl, authorities say. Troopers say they contacted the teenage girl, who walked across a softball field and began fighting again. Police say the teenage girl and her father, who troopers spoke with, have not cooperated with the investigation. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAccording to authorities, troopers were able to break up the fight and disperse the crowd. No victims remained on scene to report their injuries or provide accounts of what happened, officials say. The agency says the investigation led law enforcement to the 48-year-old woman, who then reported her injuries and her daughter's injuries to state police. Troopers say the woman had a scratch on her nose, while her daughter had a black eye and swollen nose. The 16-year-old girl observed fighting was identified by police as the person who hit the woman and her daughter, and a warrant for her arrest has been issued, according to law enforcement. She and the Millsboro woman's teenage daughter are not students at Sussex Central High School, troopers say. According to officials, the 16-year-old teen is expected to be charged with

Danny Masterson delivered guilty verdicts for two out of three rape counts against the That ’70s Show star Wednesday.The convictions came after nearly two weeks of deliberation. The jury could not reach a unanimous verdict on the third count, which alleged Masterson raped a longtime girlfriend.

Palm Bay, Fla., police said.The Palm Bay Police Department was alerted to an unresponsive infant found inside a car around 1 p.m. local time on Sunday, according to Florida news station Fox-35.In a statement, the Palm Bay Police Department said the infant had been in the car for about three hours while her parents attended a religious service.Once discovered, the 11-month-old was quickly transferred to Palm Bay Community Hospital but was pronounced dead.Temperatures reached about 30 C in Palm Bay on Sunday when the baby was left alone in the car.“This is an unfortunate incident, and our condolences and prayers go out to the family,” reads a statement from Palm Bay police Chief Mario Augello.The 11-month-old and her parents have not been publicly identified.Police are currently investigating the incident.
