The BAFTA TV nominations for the 2020 award ceremony have been announced, with Strictly Come Dancing, Love Island and Killing Eve due to lead the event.

Unlike other years – where the red carpet reigned supreme – the ceremony will be a closed event with winners accepting their prizes virtually.

News the ceremony is going ahead will come as a shock to many, as it was originally postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The ceremony will now take place on Friday, July 31 and will be broadcast on BBC One later that evening. Making light of the situation, the ceremony's host Richard Ayoade said: "I am as surprised as you are that this is still going ahead."
