The BBC admit that it is "not ideal" to have to show Norwich City's Premier League clash with Everton over two different channels after coming under fire for the decision.
The meeting at Carrow Road on Wednesday, June 24 will be the broadcaster's second live Premier League match of the restarted season, after screening Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace live this Saturday.
But while that clash will be shown in its entirety on BBC One with a 7.45pm kick-off, the meeting between Daniel Farke's Canaries and Carlo Ancelotti's Blues will be split across two channels.
The first half of the match will be screened on BBC Two with a 6pm kick-off, before viewers will be asked to switch to BBC One for the second period.
