Enforcement directorate has summoned IAS officer Sanjeev Jaiswal for questioning in relation to the BMC Covid Scam case today.
The federal agency had called Jaiswal was called for questioning earlier as well but he didn't do so. According to news agency ANI, ED has recorded statements of 8 people in the BMC covid scam case.
Earlier on June 21, ED had conducted raids at some locations associated with BMC officials among other people including Sanjeev Jaiswal.
Reportedly, ED had seized ₹68 lakhs of cash and jewellery amounting to ₹2.4 crore during the raids. Documents of 50 immovable properties located at various places in Maharashtra with a market value of more than ₹150 crore, fixed deposits and investments worth ₹15 crore have also been recovered.
