Boris Johnson delays paternity leave after Carrie Symonds gives birth to baby boy

Boris Johnson will not take paternity leave until later in the year while he deals with the coronavirus crisis. The Prime Minister was back in Downing Street and back to work after announcing his fiancé Carrie Symonds has given birth to a baby boy.

In a shock 10am announcement a spokeswoman for the Prime Minister and his partner said both mother and baby are “doing very well” after the birth in a London hospital on Wednesday morning.

The spokeswoman said: “The Prime Minister and Ms Symonds are thrilled to announce the birth of a healthy baby boy at a London hospital earlier this morning.
