Britain should force China to pay £351billion in compensation for the coronavirus crisis, a study has claimed. The massive bill some covers the cost of Rich Sunak’s bailout measures as well as a hike in NHS spending.
A report by the Henry Jackson Society has concluded that the world’s leading economies have been hit to the tune of £3.2trillion – a sum it claims would be substantially smaller had China been honest about the outbreak from the start.
The study also highlights disastrous British policy decisions – like not cancelling flights from Wuhan to London – which were based on misinformation from Beijing, it suggests.
