Boris Johnson has been moved out of intensive care, Downing Street have confirmed. The Prime Minister is said be in “extremely good spirits” after being moved from ICU to a general ward at St Thomas’ Hospital, London.
His symptoms will now be "closely monitored" by medical staff in a general ward while the country is lead by Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab.
The Tory leader deputised to Raab after being rushed to hospital on Sunday evening for tests at the advice of his doctor. Johnson was then moved to intensive care at St Thomas' on Tuesday "as a precaution" after his coronavirus symptoms worsened.
