Boris Johnson has left intensive care, Downing Street has confirmed. The Prime Minister has spent three nights in critical care at St Thomas' Hospital in London after being admitted to the hospital on Sunday.

Mr Johnson has now been moved to a regular ward where his condition will continue to be monitored. A No10 spokesman said: "The Prime Minister has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery." They added that "he is in extremely good spirits." Health Secretary Matt Hancock tweeted: “So good that the Prime Minister is out of intensive care and on the road to recovery.
