Boris Johnson's condition is 'improving' and he is 'sitting up in bed' as he remains in intensive care due to coronavirus. The Prime Minister has been receiving treatment at St Thomas' Hospital in London since Sunday evening.

He was taken to hospital after displaying persistent symptoms - 10 days after testing positive for Covid-19. The update on Mr Johnson's condition was given by Chancellor the Exchequer Rishi Sunak during the daily coronavirus press conference.
