Boris Johnson 'sitting up in bed' as Government give coronavirus health update

Boris Johnson is "sitting up in bed" and his condition is "improving," Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak confirmed at a Downing Street press briefing today.

The Prime Minister remains in the care of St Thomas’ Hospital NHS staff and is "improving" but still being closely watched by his clinical team.

Mr Johnson was admitted to hospital on Sunday evening upon the advice of his doctor after his temperature failed to fall despite other Covid-19 symptoms subsiding.

He announced his coronavirus diagnosis on March 27th on Instagram and assured Brits he was ill but choosing to social-distance as Government advice recommends.
