An 11-year-old boy was left shocked and confused after he was told his mum had died after contracting coronavirus, only to find out she was alive just two days later.
Planning for the single mother's funeral had begun as the youngster and his family believed she had succumbed to the deadly bug.
The family in Germany was left with a mixture of emotions after finding out what had happened. They were stunned, relieved and angry when the hospital rang the woman's sister again to tell her that staff had made a huge mistake, reports Mirror Online.
The boy's mum, who works in a retirement home, was still alive and was "fine" as she received treatment in hospital said the woman's sister, Andrea, as she spoke to a Munich radio station.
