The era of "three square meals a day" is officially over with a third of Brits now eating two times or less, research has revealed.
A survey of 2,000 UK adults found that while the staple for most adults was breakfast, lunch and dinner, 27 per cent are now only having two meals per day on average.
And five per cent admitted eating one main meal per day. This is according to research by lifestyle nutrition company Swisse Me, which looked at Brits' diet and exercise regime.
Men are more likely to skip a meal, with 62 per cent of women having three meals per day compared to 56 per cent of their male counterparts.
