New Delhi: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the government on Tuesday announced the appointment of 15 senior officers to various central ministries and departments.
Sudhansh Pant, a 1991-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Rajasthan cadre, has been appointed as the new health secretary, replacing Rajesh Bhushan who retires on 31July.
Pant, currently serving as the secretary in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, will take on the role of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Department of Health and Family Welfare before assuming the position of secretary in the ministry, according to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).
Meanwhile, TK Ramachandran, chairman of VO Chidambaranar Port Trust in Tuticorin, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, succeeding Pant in his previous role.
