A burglar ransacked a 65-year-old NHS worker’s house while she was at work amid the coronavirus pandemic. The victim lost sentimental items in the break-in at the property on Browning Road, Stoke, including her wedding and engagement rings.
The culprit climbed onto the kitchen roof to get into the house through a bathroom window. He also took an engagement ring that had belonged to the victim's mum until she passed away last year.
The burglary took place while the healthcare assistant was at work at a GP surgery in the city, on Thursday, April 16, between 10.30am and 2pm.
