Another 34 lives have been claimed by coronavirus in Greater Manchester's hospitals. The latest NHS England figures show that a total of 1,279 people in our region have died after testing positive for the virus.

In the last 24 hours, the biggest increase in COVID-19 deaths was recorded at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust where a further 10 lives were lost.
Seven patients died of coronavirus at Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, six at Salford Royal and five at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
