The UK was essentially put into lockdown on Monday night when the Prime Minister ordered the public to stay home and only go out for "very limited purposes".

Boris Johnson said you should only leave the house if shopping for basic necessities; partaking in one form of exercise a day; for a medical need or travelling to work if it is absolutely necessary.

For drivers, this means that they can still commute in their vehicles - providing the Government's social distancing rules are followed.

But, learner drivers have seen their driving tests cancelled for three months in an attempt to stop the spread of coronavirus.
