Car finance payment rules set to change under lockdown

With lockdown extended by three weeks, and many still unable to work, people across the UK have been left worrying about their finances.

Amongst those affected are people struggling to meet their car finance payments - something which can often leave people stressed and worried they could lose their vehicle during the pandemic.

However, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has now proposed a package of measures to support people facing payment difficulties because of the pandemic, reports Hull Live.

It wants to hear responses to its suggestions by 5pm on Monday April 20 and expects to finalise proposals by Friday April 24, with them coming into force shortly afterwards.
