A wildfire raging through the forest surrounding the nuclear disaster zone in Chernobyl has sent a toxic cloud of smoke into Kiev as shown in a grim video.
The Ukrainian capital, located about 90 miles south of the site of the nuclear disaster, is now the world's most polluted city as of Friday, according to global air-quality tracker IQAir.
In the clip, a veil of smog is seen covering the city and obscuring skyscrapers and other landmarks from view. The build-up of pollutants in the air is compounded by a long spell of dry weather which has churned up dust, according to local weather forecasters.
