As much of the world presses pause on daily life during the coronavirus lockdown, the natural world is thriving with animals roaming empty streets and nature reclaiming urban areas.

In some places, air pollution has reduced enormously, with levels in China down 25% and Sydney in Australia 65%. A third of the world’s population is believed to be hunkering down in their homes as global destinations close borders.
Experts believe the side-effects of the pandemic won’t last, but short-term, the before and after pictures are striking. In 2019, New York Times found India to be home to 14 of
