Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard paid a sensitive tribute to the tragic deaths of five members of the NHS from coronavirus.
Dr Alfa Sa'adu, 68, came out of retirement to fight the pandemic earlier this year, before losing his life to the virus. Thomas Harvey, a father of seven, also tragically died due to complications caused by Covid-19.
Adil El Tayar, an organ specialist, GP Habib Zaidi, and Amged El- Hawrani, an ENT specialist, are among the others who have lost their lives.
Listing the doctors who have died, ITV presenter Susanna's voice started choking up as she said: “We thank you for your service.” Bowing their heads, the GMB hosts had a moment of silence to pay their respects to the brave medics.
