Coronavirus outbreak: Freeland thanks 3M, U.S partners for resolving medical mask blockage to Canada

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland thanked 3M and U.S. partners on Tuesday for coming to a solution to allow the company to continue shipping N95 respiratory masks to Canada.

She said they had continued to stress the relationship between the two countries and it was in the best interest to work together.

The decision to allow shipments came just a few days after President Donald Trump originally asked 3M to stop shipping the products outside the U.S..
