Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan has got some seriously strong words for all the celebrities complaining about being in quarantine and self-isolation in the middle of the coronavirus outbreak.

The Good Morning Britain host, 54, was reacting to Sam Smith's "quarantine meltdown" in which the singer posted a series of pictures of themself throwing a strop.

Piers told Sam, 27, to "get a grip" as he slammed celebrities for what he deems to be "attention seeking". In the photos Sam sat on the steps outside their mansion in pyjamas with their head in their hands as they wept about having to stay indoors. "Stages of a quarantine meltdown," Sam captioned the post.
