This week, coronavirus cases in the UK hit 25,000, fuelling the widespread panic about the spread of the virus. While early studies indicated that taking ibuprofen could make symptoms worse for coronavirus patients, new research indicates that this isn’t the case after all.
Researchers from King’s College London have analysed 89 studies on other coronavirus strains including SARS, to find out if pain medications should be avoided.
Their analysis found ‘no evidence’ that ibuprofen makes symptoms worse in patients with the disease.
