A shopper has reportedly been banned from Tesco after taking photos of shelves emptied by panic-buyers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Ian Driver went to pick up some groceries with his wife when he spotted the baked beans, eggs and beer aisles had been targeted by stockpilers.

The 60-year-old says he innocently took some snaps on his phone before a member of staff came up and asked what he was doing.

The dad-of-three carried on with his shopping before claiming he was collared by a security guard on the way out. He then took a photograph of him and was told he was banned from the Tesco Extra, in Broadstairs, Kent, for six months.
