Corrie's Maureen Lipman says her 'heart is cracking' as partner dies after Covid-19 'weakened him'

Maureen Lipman has been left heartbroken as her partner of 13 years, Guido Castro, has died aged 84.The Coronation Street star, who is known for portraying the role of Evelyn Plummer on the popular soap opera, was by her other half's side as he passed away on Thursday 28 January at his respite home.The 74 year old actress said her "heart is cracking" as she explained that Guido, who had a form of Parkinson's Disease, had tested positive for coronavirus just two days after getting the vaccine.
