EASTENDERS pub The Queen Victoria is under threat of closure - for the first time in ten years. The legendary boozer could be shut when the soap returns to filming as scripts will reflect social distancing measures.
Insiders say that the final decision hasn’t yet been made by bosses on if the pub - which has just been sold to Phil Mitchell — and it’s all dependent on when the UK’s pubs reopen. “If the UK’s boozers are back in business, the cast will be filming inside the Queen Vic - but if the Prime Minister doesn’t announce pubs and restaurants can re-open, the soap will reflect that,” says an insider.
