Promoter Eddie Hearn has singled out Tyson Fury as the boxer he regrets passing up the opportunity to sign and admitted that the Gypsy King proved him wrong by coming back to become a heavyweight champion.
Fury was forced to vacate his unified heavyweight belts in 2016 and did not fight again for two years after suffering from mental health issues, substance abuse and weight gain.
He faced Deontay Wilder for the WBC Heavyweight Championship in 2018, with the bout was scored as a draw, before stunning the Bronze Bomber in their rematch earlier this year to win the belt via seventh-round TKO.
And Hearn opened up about failing to agree terms with Fury in 2017, when the latter appeared at Derek Chisora's bout with Agit Kabayel in Monaco.
