A road in Stockport was cordoned off this morning after a crash. The smash happened on Compstall Road in the Marple Bridge area, close to Portland Wine and the Northumberland Arms pub, at around 7.40am this morning (Friday).
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said it involved two cars. Fire crews, paramedics and police officers were called to the scene.

Some emergency vehicles remain on the scene, though the incident is believed to have been cleared from the road. Stagecoach posted on X: "383/384/808 School Srv Due to a police Incident on Compstall Rd services will be unable to complete journeys 383 terminating Cherry Tree and 384 terminating in Marple until further notice." A further tweet at 8.35am said: "383/384 Srv Back to normal route through Compstall after earlier police Incident but due to traffic congestion services will be delayed."
