Earlier this week, Boris Johnson announced that from June 1, non essential shops will begin to reopen in the UK. The announcement has been met with a mixed response, and while many are keen to get back to the high street and kick-start the economy, others are worried about the health risks and implications which may arise with stores physically opening.
We already know that in order to open, shops will need to pass a risk assessment, but now the government has published a list of rules and guidelines that shops and shoppers must follow to keep everyone safe.
One of the most widely-discussed bans has been that on changing rooms. Shoppers will no longer be able to try on clothes in stores before buying them over fears of contamination.
