Pubs and cafes will be given fast-track approval to serve food and drink outside under new measures being drawn up by Downing Street, it is reported.
No 10 is also planning to suspend Sunday trading laws for a year under the plans to boost the economy, the Times report says.
This could see supermarkets open for more than six hours on Sundays. The measures come amid growing concern that the UK could see mass unemployment as a fallout of the coronavirus lockdown.
Boris Johnson, his chief adviser Dominic Cummings, chancellor Rishi Sunak and business secretary Alok Sharma are said to be backing the move.
