Eighteen councils across Britain have not yet reached the coronavirus peak, new analysis has revealed. Boris Johnson said the UK was 'passed the peak' of the coronavirus outbreak during the daily press briefing on April 30.
The PM said at the time: "I can confirm today that for the first time we are past the peak of this disease. "We are past the peak and on the downward slope." But despite the country as a whole seeing a decrease in the number of people dying of the deadly virus, new analysis of ONS data by the Telegraph has shown 18 councils in England and Wales are behind on the trajectory and are not yet at the peak.
