Shoppers warned to 'exercise restraint' when shops reopen next month with no trying on clothes allowed

Shoppers have been warned that they will need to "exercise restraint" when more shops reopen next month. This comes as the Prime Minister announced on Sunday night (May 25) that all shops will be allowed to reopen again from the middle of next month.

Boris Johnson set out his plans to reopen businesses including department stores and independent shops from June 15 as he leads the country into 'step two' of his plan to ease lockdown.

Outdoor markets and car showrooms will also be allowed to reopen from next Monday, June 1, provided they can do so safely amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

But shoppers will have to get used to a new way of shopping, Michael Gove has warned, as trying on clothes and testing goods before purchase is off
