Wetherspoons offers a glimpse at how its pubs will look when they reopen after lockdown

Pubs were given a glimmer of hope this week when Boris Johnson said they may be able to open sooner than planned. Bars and restaurants were told they would not be able to reopen until at least July 4 under the Government's current guidance.

But the Prime Minister said boozers could be back in action 'faster than I previously thought' as scientists review whether the two metre distancing rule could be safely halved.

While the sector waits to find out, Wetherspoons has given customers a glimpse at how its pubs could look post-lockdown. The chain has shared a series of images of its prototype pub, the Mossy Well in North London, where safety and hygiene measures are being tried and tested.
