Boris Johnson has confirmed all non essential shops can reopen on June 15 - including those selling clothes and toys. The PM told the nation the government will ease restrictions further from Monday by allowing outdoor retail and car showrooms where social distancing is easier.

Then by mid-June, the intention is to reopen other non-essential retail. This includes clothes shops, charity shops, gift shops, and other similar types of retail.

Mr Johnson told today's daily briefing: "We will also start to reopen shops as we restart our economy. "We will begin on Monday with outdoor retail and car showrooms where social distancing is generally easier. "And, a fortnight later, on the 15th of June, we intend to reopen other non-essential retail."
