People who were unable to say goodbye to their loved ones have voiced their fury at Dominic Cummings after he made a 260 mile trip with his family during the lockdown despite experiencing coronavirus symptoms.
Brits who obeyed the strict rules to the letter have voiced their disbelief after Number 10 aide Cummings travelled to Durham from London to isolate with his family.
He journeyed to the North East in spite of government rules saying those with symptoms must stay at home. The government is facing calls to sack Cummings, with a snap poll finding more than half of Brits believe he should quit.
But this afternoon Transport Minister Grant Shapps opted to water down government advice rather than criticise the Number 10 advisor.
