St Johnstone fans have been left in complete shock following news of Scottish Cup-winning manager Tommy Wright’s departure.The Perth club released a statement on Saturday morning revealing the Northern Irishman’s successful and memorable reign at McDiarmid Park was over.Wright joined the club in November 2011 as an assistant manager before taking up the hot-seat in June 2013.
He was barely in the door and had already knocked Norwegian giants Rosenborg out of European football.It was the beginning of a remarkable journey and the following year he sent the city of Perth into party mode by winning the club’s first-ever Scottish Cup.
