Flea ridden cat gives birth to four tiny kittens after rescue mission by SSPCA

A cat has given birth during lockdown – after a lifesaving rescue missing by the SSPCA. Poppy was discovered by officers of the Scottish SPCA while she was heavily pregnant and with a “horrendous” flea allergy.

Thankfully she was expertly cared for and her four kittens arrived healthy.A spokesperson for the SSPCA said: “With care and treatment from our brilliant staff, she and her kittens are doing great.” The animal welfare charity have launched a campaign urging people not to forget about the plight of animals during the coronavirus lockdown.
